About Divine Dreamer
Hi, I'm Luke. This is my story and why I built this app.
The Whole Story
I've always had vivid dreams. Not occasionally, but literally every single night. The kind where you wake up remembering intricate details, conversations, emotions, and symbols. For years, I scribbled them down in journals or notes app entries, but never had a good way to make sense of them.
A couple years ago, I started sharing my dreams with ChatGPT and asking for biblical interpretations. As a Christian, I've always believed God can speak through dreams (the Bible is full of examples), but I also knew discernment matters more than dogma. The AI interpretations helped, offering multiple possible meanings based on Scripture that I could pray about.
But the process was clunky. Copy-paste from Notes to ChatGPT, lose track of old dreams, no way to search for patterns. I thought, "Why isn't there a dedicated app for this?" So I built one.
A Little About Me
I'm a solo dev, not a company. Just me, building this out of pure passion.
Faith Background
I want to be upfront: Divine Dreamer is built from a Christian perspective. I believe the Bible is true, that God can (and often does) communicate through dreams, and that Scripture should be the foundation for interpreting them.
That said, I don't preach or impose views. The AI interpretations aren't divine revelation. They're suggestions based on biblical themes and symbols. You bring the discernment, prayer, and wisdom. The app is a tool, not a prophet.
And here's the important part: This app is for everyone. Believers looking for biblical insights, welcome. Curious non-believers who find dreams fascinating, also welcome. People who just want a private, encrypted dream journal, absolutely welcome. Use it however it helps you.
I'm not here to convert anyone. I just want to share a tool I built because I needed it.
Why I Built This
Honestly? Frustration. I wanted:
- A dedicated place to journal dreams without clutter
- Biblical interpretations that weren't New Age or occult
- End-to-end encryption because dreams are personal
- A way to search for patterns and recurring symbols
- Something that respected privacy and didn't sell my data
I couldn’t find anything that met all my needs, so I decided to create it myself. Ever since I discovered my passion for computers, I’ve been genuinely trying to find a meaningful way to use them to serve the Lord, rather than just for my own personal benefit. This app is the first idea of mine that truly achieves that goal. I’m thrilled with where I am and excited about the incredible potential for where this project could go in the future. It perfectly combines my faith, my deep love for experimental technology and innovative development, and my ongoing need for a superior, comprehensive dream journaling tool that goes beyond the ordinary.
What's Next
Divine Dreamer is coming soon to the App Store. I'm currently running TestFlight beta. Want early access? Sign up on the homepage.
Core journaling will always be free. AI features are optional. Premium features (unlimited AI, cloud sync, voice journaling, PDF exports) help keep the lights on. This is a labor of love, built for the Lord and anyone who wants a better way to explore their dreams.
